Just a kid from Maine
I’m Kelsey. I grew up in the great state of Maine, USA. I consider myself privileged to live here in the pine tree state, but my mind is always wondering what else is out there for me.
Growing up in an isolated part of the country meant being influenced by isolated people. I saw the world as my small corner of the United States, and there was nothing I could do to change that. Until there was. It began with college. I wanted to leave Maine and discover a life outside of my tiny world, so I left for college in Missouri. Moving to the midwest only made me realize how lucky I am to be a Mainer. I moved back to Southern Maine where there are more opportunities. A few years later, I dropped out of college. I felt like something was still missing from my life.
However, spending this time out on my own gave me perspective. I realized I could go anywhere if I wanted to.
Years passed, and I fell into a routine of working and living paycheck to paycheck until I had enough. It was time for a change. I planned and booked my first international trip to Iceland with one of my close friends. Not only did this trip reaffirm what really fuels my fire, it solidified one more thing: I will never stop traveling. Travel is the secret sauce to my happiness.
I have traveled to 15 countries and counting!
It’s time to discover everything I can for myself and take you along for the journey, dropping all of my travel tips and tricks along the way for you to utilize on your next adventure. I hope I can inspire you to start traveling the world!
